In 2014 Baileys Brown and Krazy asked me to be on Crudely Cut Records which I was delighted about. I put out my Before The Shit Hits The Fan mixtape on Crudely Cut Christmas 2014 but then had a bit of hectic 2015.
Myself, Ded Tebiase and BigLikeBaz were working on an album that I was initially calling 'Understand Me'. I was recording most of it at the studio I was renting from Dub Mafia in Bristol until the building got condemned. My son, Carvel was then born in May 2015 which was followed by a stint of depression and anxiety. I procrastinated with so much and the project got put on hold.
After getting my shit together I finally put out my Untitled EP in 2016 on Crudely Cut. As you've probably noticed the project name changed, it had dropped from an LP to an EP and BigLikeBaz was no longer a part of it. This was merely down to the fact I wasn't satisfied with what I'd recorded on some of Baz's tracks leaving only 2 I was pleased with. It's a shame because some of the beats Baz gave me we're sick and who knows, maybe we'll get around to doing something in the future as Baz is a great guy and hip hop producer.
So Untitled is a straight lo-fi Boom Bap EP entirely produced by Ded Tebiase which I then filled with an array of personal and observational subjects such as human interactions, dwindling relations, societal issues, mental health and politics. The EP features Notorious JA, Lowdose, Twizzy and Blak Twang who all deliver outstanding performances that I wouldn't change for the world so I am truly grateful to them.
Untitled EP is available on all streaming sites and at the time of writing this post, there is still a handful of Limited Edition cassette tapes available - You can grab a copy below.
